President of Smooth Aesthetics, she received her Associates Degree of Science in Nursing from Nassau Community College. She is also a Licensed Facial Specialist (Esthetician) and has been for over 20 years. Maria is also a leading Clinical Application Specialist for Lumenis. She has over two decades of experience in medical aesthetic procedures including laser hair removal, photorejuvenation and chemical peels. She is an expert in Intense Pulsed Light procedures and was one of the first in the world to offer this cutting edge technology. Maria was the co-founder of the IPL Educational Institute TM and co-developer of Epifacial TM. She was among the first trainers of “Medical Aesthetic hands-on-workshops” and has trained thousands of medical professionals internationally for over 15 years; among those Past-Presidents of the Dermatology Society. She has been a speaker at many national and international conferences on hair removal and photo rejuvenation (pigmentation, rosacea, acne conditions and hair removal on darker skin types).

She has served as the President of Nassau County of Medical Assistants and belongs to the American Association of Medical Assistants, American Association of Medical Managers and American Academy of Medical Esthetic Professionals.
